Another chance at another pink collar

It's been awhile since I've posted here. An old lady shouldn't try to take 3 classes during the summer semester! Nearly killed myself!

Anyway...here's another chance at winning a collar for your dog. I'd, of course, pick a pink one (see previous posts) and think the She Loves Me would do the trick in helping folks know Miss Bella is a girl.

You can find this contest at Sweet Dog Organics. If you're not feeling lucky, go straight to Swanky Pet and just buy one.

The Cleaner - Season 2 Starts June 23

If you have not yet watched "The Cleaner" on A&E, you are missing out on a really great drama. With all the reality programming, there aren't many dramas left on TV anymore. The show is based on a real person, William Banks (played by Benjamin Bratt), who has devoted his life to helping addicts find recovery. Banks faced his own struggles with addiction and Bratt comes across as believable in that role.

Here's your chance to win the first season on DVD, which was just released this past Tuesday. Go to Seat 42F and leave a comment about why you'd like to win. They're giving away 2 prize packs... one for you and one for me! :-) In addition to Season 1 on DVD, they are also throwing in an A&E t-shirt, hat, and pen, along with "The Cleaner" candle set, moleskin journal, and eco-friendly shopping bags!

The new season starts Tuesday, June 23, at 10pm ET on A&E.

Tim Irving Photographic Print Giveaway

Today's giveaway alert comes from GilBea's Fashion & Homemade. It's sponsored by Photography by Tim Irving and offers you the chance to win your choice of a print from Tim's Etsy shop. He has lots of beautiful florals, as well as some great shots of Paris and other European locations.

It's no surprise that I would choose one of his doggie designs. "Waiting for Dinner" is my favorite (shown below), but there's also a great black & white profile of a Boxer.

Here is a direct link to the giveaway. It closes at midnight on Monday, so hurry up and choose! If you win, let me know which design will be gracing your wall!

Posh Puppy Boutique

While perusing my favorite sweeps site (online-sweepstakes.com), I found a giveaway at A Hook...A Line...And A Girl which is sponsored by Posh Puppy Boutique. After spending a few minutes looking over the Collars section, I found exactly what I've wanted for Bella for over a year! Although it's a bit expensive, this is exactly what I pictured and hoped to find:

See the whole description here.

I've been on the lookout for the perfect collar after I saw a black dog on TV that was wearing a baby pink collar. It made the dog look so girly, which is something I thought Bella needed. However, everything I've found at PetSmart or Walmart is made out of that nylon webbing or it's hot pink instead of baby pink. (Yes, it matters.)

So, I entered the giveaway (here's a direct link to the post). The prize is a $50 gift certificate!

If I don't win, I hope you do! Good luck!!!

Welcome!

I have no idea why I'm starting a blog in the middle of a summer semester. I'm already not devoting enough time to studying. And then there's the time I'm spending on entering contests and sweeps. And don't forget that I have to clean the house and do laundry. And my friends are always asking me to do something with them. Oh, and then there's my job. So, why am I doing this???

A few reasons come to mind:
1. I need a creative outlet for getting what's in my head out of that crazy place and out into the light of day. Sorry... you'll have to wade through some of that to find what you really want to read.
2. I have been drooling over the many blogs that are so full of juicy bits of information and I'm jealous. I want one of my own!
3. I would like to offer the community of folks who enter contests and sweeps another source for some goodies to win. So, if you are responding to my plea, please consider giving away one of your products to readers of this blog. And if you've got an extra one for me, well... YAY for YOU! :-)

The name Serenity Bella comes from 2 things that are very important to me: my own personal serenity, and my dog Bella. No, that's not her in the header photo.

This is Bella:

I will eventually design something that will include her picture. In the meantime, that's a "catalog dog" looking at the snow, which is something I love to do, and it always helps me maintain serenity. Unfortunately, there's never enough snow in Texas.

If you read this far, I commend you! Please feel free to comment or drop me a line with any suggestions you may have about blogging, serenity, dogs, or crochet.
